Naples, Fort Myers, Southwest Florida
Florida's southwest coast includes the popular vacation destinations of Fort Myers, Cape Coral and Sanibel-Captiva Islands. Cape Coral has over 400 miles of canals and most vacation homes here are water front homes with canal access to the Gulf of Mexico. Further south are Naples and Marco Island, an area that is the western gateway into the Florida Everglades. Marco Island is the northernmost and largest of the 10,000 Islands Aquatic Preserve of Florida, and the start of many ecotours into the region.
St. Augustine, Amelia Island, Jacksonville & Northeast Florida
Located on the Atlantic Coast of Northeast Florida, the First Coast is named for the many firsts included in the local history and because it has the first beaches that a traveler come to in Florida when traveling down the Atlantic coast. The First Coast starts from Jacksonville on the Georgia border, including Amelia Island, and extends south of St. Augustine, the oldest European city on the continental US.
Daytona Beach & The Space Coast
The Space Coast of Florida includes all of the region around the Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. The Space Coast beaches are also the closest beaches to Orlando, only 35 miles away. This area is known for the great beaches on the barrier islands, as well as the inland waterways and its large wildlife refuges. Daytona Beach is justly famous for its Spring Break, Bike Week, and Speed Week.
Stuart, Jensen Beach, Port St. Lucie and the Treasure Coast
Located on the coastal counties of Indian River, Palm Beach, St. Lucie, and Martin, the Treasure Coast of Florida got its name from the large number of Spanish galleons carrying treasure that sank off the coast of Florida in this region. The Treasure Coast is known for its outstanding beaches which combine excellent sand quality with significant surf and tidal action.
South Florida, Miami, Fort Lauderdale
South Florida is frequently known as the Gold Coast, and includes Palm Beach County and Fort Lauderdale. Nearby Palm Beach is known for combining breathtaking natural beauty and an abundance of cultural activities into an excellent vacation experience. Fort Lauderdale was made famous by movies such as "Where the Boys Are," which quickly made it into a popular spring break destination. The Florida Keys & Key West
The Florida Keys, consisting of the upper keys, mid keys, and lower keys, and are a string of about 1500 islands that start from the southeastern tip of Florida and run southwest, with the vacation rental homes and condos in Key West being just 90 miles north of Havana, Cuba. The Gulf waters off the Florida keys are filled with colorful reefs and abundant marine life. The warm Gulf Stream waters are famous for snorkeling and scuba diving to explore these natural treasures.
Orlando / Disney Area & Central Florida
Located in the center of the Florida Peninsula, Orlando is the vacation capital of the world, drawing over 43 million visitors each year to the theme parks and resorts located here. Orlando & Kissimmee is home of the Walt Disney World Resort, Seaworld and Universal Studios as some of the larger destinations.
